{"id":649,"date":"2013-12-31T08:41:44","date_gmt":"2013-12-31T12:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alanpippenger.com\/?p=649"},"modified":"2025-12-28T09:49:20","modified_gmt":"2025-12-28T13:49:20","slug":"branson-again-naturally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alanpippenger.com\/?p=649","title":{"rendered":"Branson again, Naturally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We arrived at Stormy Point Village about 2pm on Saturday, the 28th.<br \/>\nIt was cold but not bitterly so, in the high 30&#8217;s.\u00a0 We had sought<br \/>\nout Big Cedar Lodge for lunch and had shared the chicken livers which<br \/>\nare served on a huge bed of mashed potatoes, surrounded with a moat<br \/>\nof peppercorn gravy.\u00a0 Two can split this, and we did.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoyed the viewof Lake Tanycomo from our table.<a class=\"image\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:Lake_Taneycomo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"thumbimage alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px; border: 2px solid black;\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/thumb\/d\/de\/Lake_Taneycomo.jpg\/300px-Lake_Taneycomo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nAfter checking in and arranging our quarters we lounged about for 2<br \/>\nhours then dressed for Sight and Sound&#8217;s production of <em>Miracle of Christmas.<\/em><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" id=\"bigImg\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.vmeimg.com\/listings\/1\/42124\/1353832vme.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"250\" \/><br \/>\nSight and Sound Theaters exist to spread the Gospel<br \/>\nof Jesus Christ by bringing the Bible to life.\u00a0 If you are<br \/>\never near Branson, MO, make it a point to see one<br \/>\nof their productions.\u00a0 You will be astounded.<br \/>\nJonah starts March 22, 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We arrived at Stormy Point Village about 2pm on Saturday, the 28th.
